Cole Kpekawa …
In line for his debut

The Harriers are on the road again when they travel down to leafy Surrey tomorrow for a relegation battle against Woking FC. With both clubs battling to get away from the dead men it looks like it’s going to be an important game for both sides.

We go there on the back of two amazing away wins and as the form team we have to be favourites. Woking have dropped like a stone in recent weeks from mid table down to third from bottom before their unexpected home win against Gateshead on Tuesday evening. 2-1 down at the break they came back late on to grab all three points in an amazing turnaround to take them up a place to twenty second.

At the same time we were giving high flying Solihull Moors a lesson in pressing football that saw them hardly get a sniff of goal. Jack Lambert scored our only goal early in the second half and moved us up a place to twenty first. Three points at Woking could see us rise to seventeenth if other results go our way but realistically we’re looking at a place or two lower than that.

We’ll definitely be without Krystian Pearce following his red card at Solihull Moors and new signing Cole Kpekawa looks the most likely to stand in for him. His Bromley team mate Todd Miller made his debut on Tuesday as did Jay Emmanuel-Thomas while Regan Griffiths made his first start in place of the injured Shane Byrne. Shane is expected to return from his tight hamstring tomorrow but could just be on the bench as a precaution.

There’s good news about Matt Preston and Sam Robinson with them both in light training now but still a few weeks away from their comebacks. Nathaniel Knight-Percival has even longer to go.

After their Gateshead win Woking will be up for this (their fans already think they’re invincible) but we’ll also be up for it and I think our better record in recent weeks should be enough for us the return home with all three points.

Update: This game was postponed from March 2nd to March 5th due to a waterlogged pitch at Woking. The preview remains the same with just the referee being changed.
