Fans favourite, the un-compromising Chris Brindley, was an England Semi-Pro International who gained the Man of the Match award in our FA Trophy Final game against Woking in 1995. Although we lost 2 – 1 he was an inspiration to the team when he played for a period of the game with a broken arm before being substituted.

He started his career at Hednesford Town before joining Wolves in 1986 and played just a handful of games for the then 4th Division side.

He then left for Telford Utd in 1988 where he played in his first Trophy Final for them in 1989 and ended on the winning side when they beat Macclesfield 1-0.

Chris joined the Harriers in August 1992 for the princely sum of £20,000. Twice voted player of the year for us he left in January 1998 for his first club Hednesford where he became their manager.
