Richard ‘Fozzie’ Forsyth started his football career at Stourbridge before arriving at Aggborough in 1987.

Under manager Graham Allner he made the No.6 shirt his own, but it was no surprise when a league club, Birmingham City, came in for him in 1995. A fee of £50,000 changed hands, rising to £100,000 on appearances.

When Trevor Francis was appointed as manager at St. Andrews Richard moved on to Stoke City for £200,000. Two years later he moved to Blackpool on a free transfer but struggled to hold down a first team place.

He signed for Peterborough Utd on a free transfer in July 2000 and then in November 2002 left to join his old manager, Graham Allner, at Cheltenham for a fee of £15K rising to 25K on appearances.

During his career at Aggborough he made 303 appearances and scored 71 goals.
