11-12-20 – Preview – Gateshead Vs Kidderminster Harriers

After a weekend without a game last Saturday the Harriers now get back into the groove with a trip to Gateshead. This game will be a new scenario for us due to it being our first game that pairs us with an equally high flying opponent. I’m discounting the opening game against Chester FC here due to there not being any high flyers at that time.

With us in 3rd place and the Heed just below us in 6th then it could become an interesting affair to see who will come out with the three points.

Gateshead have got there thanks to home wins against Curzon Ashton, Gloucester City and Southport while also picking up a point at the International Stadium against Brackley Town. They’ve won two away from home at Bradford Park Avenue and Chester. Their only home defeat came against AFC Fylde.

Our last game was a rare home defeat against Kettering Town in a game that we looked out of sorts in and, to be honest, never looked like getting anything from. We need to learn from that and go to Gateshead with a positive outlook and hopefully the three points will fall into place.

We should be at full strength for the game and so should Gateshead although they do have goalkeeper James Montgomery and defender Elliott Forbes bith out with long term injuries.
