Marvin Johnson signed for the Harriers on deadline day January 2012. Formerly with the North Birmingham side Romulus he is a prolific striker/wide man who notched eighteen goals with his former side. He was already being watched by Burnley, Crewe and Watford but decided to sign an eighteen month contract with us for an undisclosed four figure fee plus sell ons. After a couple of seasons in and out of the side, including a loan spell to Hednesford, Johnson was given an ultimatum at the end of the 2013-14 season to improve his game or leave. He opted to stay and by the time the January deadline day came in 2015 he had shot to the top of the Harriers scores table with ten goals and a transfer to Scottish club Motherwell. After just over one season Marvin had returned back down South to join Oxford Utd for an un-disclosed fee thought to be in the region of £500,000. His next move came on deadline day August 2017 when he joined Middlesborough for another un-disclosed fee but thought by many to be around £3,000,000 |
