| Date: 24-01-23 Match preview Vs Curzon Ashton Venue: Tameside Stadium Kick off: 19:45hrs |

Preview: Phil Lench
The Harriers are soon back at it with this trip up to Curzon Ashton tomorrow evening and hopefully three points to make up for our abysmal home record. That home record also includes a defeat early in the season to our hosts tomorrow when they won their first ever game at Aggborough with goals from Will Hayhurst and Devon Matthews. On Saturday just gone we could only get a draw at home to Bradford (PA) so our form at home doesn’t seem to have improved since then.
The weather in Manchester is supposed to be an improvement on what we’ve seen down this way lately including that thick fog that ruined the Bradford game as a spectator sport. 7° and cloudy is what we can expect.
We will probably still be without Caleb Richards with an ankle injury and now added to the list is Zak Brown after he, also, took a knock in training last week. Begs the question just what are we doing in training because he doesn’t seem to include shooting. We do now have Alex Penny and Nathaniel Knight-Percival back in the side and both turned in good performances on Saturday although NKP did inadvertently help to set up the BPA goal.
Curzon haven’t played for a few weeks now, due to the weather, with their last game being away at Chester FC a few weeks ago when they ended up with a credible 2-2 draw. They sit three places below us in the table in eighteenth place but six points worse off. That could soon change when they win their two games in hand though just as long as it isn’t tomorrow.
Injuries are not known with Curzon down to their poor website and social media. It seems they only use Twitter now but there’s still not much on there either. You might find that some of the players listed below are also no longer with them.
Our home form may be poor but at least our away form is better where we sit in fifth place. Embarrassingly our home form shows us way down in twenty second place and that’s relegation form.
Tomorrow we have to begin to turn this season around otherwise it will all have been a waste of time.
