Date: 12-11-22 Match preview Vs Kings Lynn Town Venue: The Walks Kick off: 15:00hrs |

It all seems to be going pear shaped for the Harriers now following yet another defeat at Boston Utd on Tuesday evening making it three losses in a row for the once Massive Kiddy. Long gone is the euphoria surrounding last season and the hopes for this. Long gone too is that chant of Kiddy Are Massive that rang out at the West Ham game, and every Harriers game since, to spur the players on so maybe now is the time to resurrect it and get us back onto the winning track.
The game on Tuesday saw us fail to score again in the 2-1 defeat due to an own goal from a Boston defender. Apart from a series of skied efforts from the returning Tom Owen-Evans we didn’t have a single shot on goal from a striker and that is also a worry. Surely it’s staring Russ Penn in the face that something is seriously wrong up front and that HAS TO BE ADDRESSED sooner than later.
There’s also the goalkeeper situation. Either we have to now bring in a more capable custodian or at least give Jamie Emery a chance. He can’t sit around waiting and throwing the occasional ball to Tom Palmer during the warm-ups. Give him his chance.
Our opponents tomorrow are Kings Lynn Town and, following their promotion to the National League Premier by default on the 2019-20 where they finished with two points less than York City but won the title on the points-per-game basis, they found themselves relegated back here a full season later. They seem determined to return back there this season but having lead the table by some way they’ve now started to lose a few games and find themselves in third place at the moment.
On Saturday, while we were losing at home to Darlington FC, Lynn were at Doncaster Rovers and dumping them out of the FA Cup. Their reward is an enthralling, but winnable, tie at home to Stevenage.
Our injury list is slowly beginning to thin out with Owen-Evans and Joe Foulkes both returning from long term injury at Boston. That leaves us just waiting on Alex Penny and Nathaniel Knight-Percival to return and we should be back at full strength. Jack Tolley is supposedly ready but not being picked to play while our only doubt could be Shane Byrne after he was withdrawn from the game after a few minutes when it was realised that his back injury was no better.
To get even a point at The Walks is going to be a huge task for us made even bigger by our inability to score and our inability to keep goals out. The thing is that every team in this league is beatable so it’s up to us to prove that theory.
