Date: 26-08-24 Match preview Vs Oxford City Venue: Aggborough Kick off: 15:00hrs |
Preview:Phil Lench

The Harriers have but a few days to pick themselves up off the floor following our first defeat of the season at Warrington Town yesterday. An early goal from the Birmingham City loanee, Ben Beresford, wasn’t enough to go on and win the game as we allowed Town back into it with two goals either side of the break.
We now have to gain maximum points off an Oxford City side who lost at home 4-1 to South Shields after conceding in the second minute but clawed their way back into the game two minutes later. A second half rampage from Shields, adding three goals, saw them go on to win the game easily.
We could still be without Amari Morgan-Smith for the Bank Holiday Monday fixture due to him having to wait a further few days before being ok’d by the medical team following his concussion incident against Radcliffe FC last Saturday. Beresford should continue in leading the line for us for a little longer then.
There may also be other personnel changes after Phil Brown alluded to that happening in his post match interview yesterday. He mentioned that both Reece Devine and Reiss McNally could be getting an overdue start but he didn’t want to change the side around too much.
We might even get to see Jack Lambert make an overdue return to the bench! But most of all we want to see the Harriers quickly get back to winning ways.
