Back in and back in the goals?

This quickly re-arranged game, that was due to have been played this coming Tuesday evening, has now taken the place of Saturdays game that was to have been held at Guiseley.  They have fallen victim to the dreaded Coronavirus and had to call off their game at Brackley Town last Saturday. In addition to that/this they have also cancelled the game at Chorley FC this coming Tuesday too.

The club moved quickly to bring the Leamington FC forward and they have agreed to come here tomorrow.

Leamington picked up their first point of the season at Farsley Celtic on Tuesday and that lifted them off the very bottom of the table into twentieth place but still on the same one point total as Chorley and Blyth Spartans below them. Blyth were our most recent three points after we beat them 2-0 last Saturday.

We’ll have Amari Morgan-Smith back from suspension for this game to give us goals and a full strength team for the first time this season. Against Blyth Jim Kellermann made his long overdue debut for us after originally signing way back at the start of last March. He missed the early games this season due to injury.

Like us Leamington should be at full strength too with no injuries reported at the time of writing this.

The two previous home games against the Brakes haven’t seen us covered in glory with a 2-2 draw on opening day last season and a 2-1 defeat at the end of the previous, 2018-19, season.

Must mean a win for us this time then.
