Kidderminster Harriers, today, bought in a long overdue striker in a bid to increase our woeful firepower in front of goal.

Twenty three year old George Waring has joined the club on loan from Tranmere Rovers for the remainder of the season and in theory should form a partnership with either Andre Brown or Joe Ironside. That may not be the case though.

George joined Tranmere in July last year following his release from Stoke City and at 6ft 5 inches tall was seen as another version of Peter Crouch and the pair were often photographed together.

He has only played three times for the Rovers and was sent out on loan to FC Halifax Town from October last year until a few weeks ago so it seems his time at Prenton Park will not be a long one.

He should be available to play for us at Curzon Ashton tomorrow unless he goes down with the flu bug overnight.
