10-02-20 - Preview - Farsley Celtic Vs Kidderminster Harriers

The Harriers face another long away trip to Farsley Celtic tomorrow and, with the distance we have to travel and the lunchtime departure, then it has to be hoped that the game will not be called off due to the aftermath of Storm Ciara.

On Saturday we earned a credible home draw at home to Darlington but it felt more like two points lost than the one point gained. Such was our superiority. A superb goal from Darlos’ Will Hatfield was countered a few minutes later by one almost as good from Alex Prosser to give us a share of the spoils.

While we were doing that, up at Farsley they were seeing a similar outcome against Alfreton Town as they too came from behind to draw level through an Adam Clayton header. Towards the end of the game their keeper, Josh Barnes, went off injured and was replaced by the veteran Mark Bower.

We’ll still be without Declan Weeks and now added to the list is Samir Nabi with a hamstring injury. Austin Samuels should have recovered from the slight groin strain he picked up at Kings Lynn recently.

The only other bit of interesting news is the dubious claim by a Twitter journalist that Jimmy Shan is wanted by Solihull Moors as their new manager. Hopefully it’s just rubbish but if he does go then the position will only be ‘interim’.

It’s a given that we cannot go and lose this game. Better still it should be a game that we have to go and win.

STOP PRESS: Jimmy Shan has left the Harriers to join Solihull Moors. Russ Penn is the new ‘interim’ manager
