Joe Foulkes

The young Walsall defender, Joe Foulkes, played against the Harriers in a friendly game in mid July 2021 and within a week he had signed for us on a six month loan taking him up to January 2022 that was then extended until the end of the season.

The eighteen year old defender signed his first professional contract with the Saddlers on his birthday in June after impressing them in youth games. He has been with Walsall since the age of seven. 

In his time with us he picked up a very bad injury in a FA Cup game at Ware FC in the October and didn’t return to the side until two months later. 

The following season Joe was back on a season long loan with us and was, again, an almost ever present although he did have a couple more bad injuries.

After he returned to Walsall he became a regular in the side playing twenty three times but in the end opted to leave them at the expiry of his contract to re-join us.
