Danny Jackman was a surprise signing from Gillingham for the Harriers by Steve Burr in mid January 2013.

The diminutive Worcester born midfielder was their Player of the Season for the 2011-12 term but seemed to fall out of favour with the new manager Martin Allen soon after Allen arrived at the club.

Danny started his career as a trainee at Villa Park but after three years was signed by Stockport County when they were a League One side and doing well.

His next move was to become his first stay at Gillingham where he played 79 times for the Kent side before joining Northampton Town where he made 93 appearances.

He re-joined the Gills in August 2009 and once more became a crowd favourite before the arrival of Allen and the end of his time there.

Following his time with the Harriers he joined up with his hometown club Worcester City until they hit ground and money problems. He left them to join Redditch Utd as a player/coach.
