Will be interesting to see if the return of the Warriors has any impact on KHFC. Someone pointed out that we may have benefited in the last couple of years in the way of sponsorship as local companies could no longer spend at Sixways.
I also note our owner was pictured presenting the MotM award at their game on Friday evening. EBC were match sponsors and sponsor their shirts for this season.

Will be interesting to see how this pans out but the return of Warriors just didnt happen over night and given the investment and time Lane has put it (Murrays budget isnt exactly small, its a top 7 budget I've heard) then its clear he isnt sacking us off for the egg chasing, not yet anyway.
if you couple goals with clean sheets you've a recipe for success

Only so much sponsorship cash / “investment” to go round I suppose. Businesses that might have previously looked at KHFC might look at WW and their 9000 crowds.
Yes, Lane has shown commitment and clearly given us a competitive budget. Only he will know how long he’s willing to carry on for. It won’t be forever. And if we don’t get promotion this season will it be time to trim the budget perhaps? Who knows.

Its not the 'sacking us off' that concerns me specifically, almost the opposite in fact. Will be interesting to see how this pans out but the return of Warriors just didnt happen over night and given the investment and time Lane has put it (Murrays budget isnt exactly small, its a top 7 budget I've heard) then its clear he isnt sacking us off for the egg chasing, not yet anyway.

If an alternative investor or group of investors were looking to replace Lane i don't think that would be the worst thing for the club, at all.
Ha. Good luck with that one. There are always others out there. The problem is we'd be fishing in a sea of sharks. There is stuff Lane could do better - but christ alive, probably the most stable this club has been in the 25 years I've been coming?Bucks Harrier wrote: ↑Sat Sep 27, 2025 9:31 am If an alternative investor or group of investors were looking to replace Lane i don't think that would be the worst thing for the club, at all.

So stable that we are concerned about a sponsorship deal with a rugby team?harry211 wrote: ↑Sat Sep 27, 2025 12:05 pmHa. Good luck with that one. There are always others out there. I think you're confusing the word 'we' with the word 'some'. I'm certainly not getting concerned with the shirt and match sponsorship as everybody knows he's also a keen rugby fan.Bucks Harrier wrote: ↑Sat Sep 27, 2025 7:50 pmSo stable that we are concerned about a sponsorship deal with a rugby team?harry211 wrote: ↑Sat Sep 27, 2025 12:05 pmHa. EBC Group have been a sponsor at Worcestershire CCC for a number of years too. I guess the difference is that Lane is personally the largest shareholder of KHFC, whereas the sponsorship of the rugby/cricket clubs, as well as sponsorship of the Main Stand at Aggborough effectively would come out of the EBC's marketing budget.
