Following yet another weekend devoid of a game the Harriers travel to Darlington to take on the team in one place below us. We were supposed to be at home to Kings Lynn on Saturday but that was called off due to the inclement weather as was Darlingtons game at Guiseley and it now makes it four weeks since we’ve played on a Saturday. Hopefully our game at York City this coming Saturday will be played.<\/p>\n

Last season we were beaten 3-0 in the corresponding fixture<\/a> when goals from Stephen Thompson, William Smith and Jordan Nicholson gave us our just deserts for a poor showing. Thompson, who scored a screamer, could miss the game with a groin injury while Smith returned to his parent club Barnsley at the end of the season and Nicholson joined our local rivals Hereford FC.<\/p>\n

They’ll also have to make do without\u00a0Luke Trotman (achilles), Jamie Holmes (cruciate) and David Atkinson (ankle). Thompson is 50\/50 to make the game.<\/p>\n

We should be injury free now that Brandon Diau has had a little more time to get over his groin problem and unless we’ve picked up more mysterious injuries in training we should be at full strength compared to Darlos injury hit squad.<\/p>\n

It’s a long way to go to Darlington, as is York in a few days time, and we need to make sure that it’ll be worth travelling the distance. It would be good to get a win but I think a draw would be a more realistic objective.\u00a0<\/p>\n
