Paddy McLaughlin came to the Harriers on a short term loan from York City in November 2022. A crowd favourite with York he was also a former team mate of Russ Penns so they know each other well. Russ knew that we needed an experienced midfielder, at thirty one years of age, and his old mate fits the bill well. Irish born Paddy started with Newcastle Utd but never played for them. On his release he joined City for two seasons before joining Grimsby Town and a few others. All the time though his heart was with York and he returned there in 2019, first on loan from Hartlepool and then, once the season ended, permanently once more. | |||
