Ben Margetson first came to the attention of Harriers fans as Trialist A during the 2022-23 pre-season games. Playing mainly in the centre of defence he was very reminiscent of the recently departed Geraldo Bajrami and played in every friendly game. Born in South Wales Ben started his career at the age of eleven with Cardiff City but never signed professional forms with them. He later signed for Swansea City but stayed just six months with them before joining Bromley FC. He only played a couple of games with them and was sent out on loan to Welling Utd where he doubled his game tally before being released by Bromley at the end of last season. Ben was also picked for the Wales U21 team in June 2021 but in the six games they played he made the bench three times without ever coming on. In January 2023 he left the club and returned to Wales to play for Pontypridd Utd. | |||
