Fellow Dane, Thomas Skovbjerg, was one of Jan Molby’s first signings in August 1999. He was a fast right winger who quickly become a favourite with the fans. Thomas received a cruciate knee injury in March 2000 and so missed most of the debut season in the Football League, but he made his comeback a year later against Lincoln City. It came as big shock when at the end of the 2000-01 season Tommy announced that he was returning to Denmark and leaving football to concentrate on his education. Thomas Skovbjerg is now a teacher in Denmark. |
