Sam Austin signed for the Harriers before the 2016-17 season after starting his career with Burton Albion. He spent a while on loan with AFC Telford Utd then he went to Leamington FC for the remainder of the season where he scored seven times in twenty outings. On Burtons promotion to the Championship he was released. Sam came to the Harriers as a defender/wing back but in 2020 he was converted to a wide midfielder under Russ Penn and in that position prospered. His form bought him to the attention of other clubs and in June 2022 he signed for Notts County for an un-disclosed fee. At the time of his departure he had become the Harriers longest serving player at that time accruing seven seasons with us. |
