| Ricky Shakes, the Guyanan international, joined the Harriers in the summer of 2012 from Ebbsfleet Utd where he had been their star player for the previous four years.
He started his career as a youngster with his hometown club Charlton Athletic but was quickly snapped up by Bolton Wanderers in January 2004. He stayed with them for eighteen months and two loan outs before joining Swindon Town. It was there that he blossomed but after two seasons he left to join Brentford. From there he joined up with Ebbsfleet and really impressed. He joined the Harriers on an initial one year deal that was not extended and played for Boreham Wood before his first retirement from the game in April 2020. That all changed in December 2020 when he put his boots back on to join up with St Albans City. |
