Paul Bignot was the younger brother of the former Harriers player, and legend, Marcus Bignot. He played for Crewe Alexandra in League One after joining as a schoolboy and made eleven first team appearances for them. He joined the Harriers on an initial one month loan but in his second game for us was sent off and he was suspended for three games. He then had his loan extended but a week later he was recalled to Gresty Road by his club. A few months later and he was back at Aggborough and this time for the next two years after he turned down a string of other clubs to join us. After failing to gain a starting place in the squad the following season he was then sent out on loan to Blue Square South side Newport County. He arrived back at the club in January 2009 but was then released from his contract in late February and immediately joined Newport. In July 2011 he earned himself a dream move to ex Premiership side Blackpool. |
