Mike Marsh joined the Harriers in November 1999. At first many supporters thought it was a case of ‘jobs for old friends’ because Marsh was a former team mate of Jan Molbys at Liverpool but we were soon proved to be wrong. Molby bought him in to do a job, to gel the team together and make them play as a team. With his vision and ability to read the game, and provide pin point passes, he soon became a true hero and guided us to promotion to the Football league in 2000. But because he had accepted an insurance payout for damaged knees prior to joining us he could not play for the Harriers in the 3rd Division and left the club at the end of the season to play for Southport. | |||
