This was one of the shortest ever appearances for a player at Aggborough. Mickaël Antoine-Curier joined the Harriers on 19th September 2003 after being released by his club, Oldham Athletic, that morning and left just three days later on the 22nd to join Rochdale having turned out for just twenty seven minutes as a second half substitute against Lincoln City. The 20 year old striker was born in Orsay, twenty five miles SW of Paris, on 5th March 1983 and started his footballing career in France as a youth player with Nancy but left to seek his fortune in this country at Preston North End. After being released without making the grade he arrived at Nottingham Forest where again he failed to make any impression, apart from making it to the bench in a Worthington Cup game against the Harriers. During his time there he went out on loan to Brentford where he scored three times in eleven appearances. After joining Oldham at the start of the 2003-04 season he scored three goals in nine outings but found himself relegated to the bench. Because of their precarious financial status Oldham decided to release him. Since then he became notorious for signing for a club then leaving them soon after. |
