Michael Carr was highly rated in non-League circles and it was quite a coup when Mark Yates signed him on the final day of the January 2009 transfer deadline following his release from Morecambe. He started his career at Macclesfield Town and then moved on to Northwich Victoria where he had spent most of his time. He impressed for them during our FA Trophy Semi Final battles of 2007 and scored a penalty for them in their fruitless 3-2 victory at their place. After over a hundred games for them he moved on to Morecambe but fell out of favour before he really got going. He was then sent out on loan back to his old club before he found himself un-employed for a few weeks until Yates stepped in for him. |
