The Manchester Utd U23’s starlet, Max Taylor, joined the Harriers on a short term loan in October 2020 following a successful trial period with us.

He joined Utd in 2014 as an academy player and was given a professional contract two years later in July 2016 and made six appearances for them in the Premier League 2 last season before joining Stalybridge Celtic on loan in January 2020. He has since signed a one year extension to that contract up until May 2021.

He was forced to spend time out of the game in 2018 following the discovery of testicular cancer. After the chemotherapy treatment to successfully remove the tumour, and lymph nodes in his abdomen, he returned to training in 2019 and was called up by the Utd manager, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, to the squad for a Europa League match.

Formerly known as Max Dunne, he changed his name to Max Taylor in February 2019.

Max returned to his club in March 2021 when the season was ended early due to the pandemic.
