The Harriers signed Liam Burns on Christmas Eve 2007 just in time to play against Swansea City on Boxing Day. The former Northern Ireland under-21 international defender started his career at Port Vale before moving on to Bristol Rovers in the summer of 2004. He then moved on to Shrewsbury Town where he was used as cover for Shrews defenders. His only appearance for us came in the final minutes of the 5-1 defeat in that Swansea game when he gave away a penalty for their third goal. After leaving us he joined Forest Green Rovers and then later on he returned to Northern Ireland to play for clubs based over there. | |||
