Jesper Christiansen was initially signed by Jan Molby just before Christmas 2003 but he wasn’t available to play for us until January 1st 2004. He made his debut for us in the FA Cup game at home to Wolverhampton Wanderers. He started his career at Danish side Odense Boldklub but came over once to the UK for a fruitless trial at Grimsby Town before returning to Denmark. In his time at Aggborough he only managed to score one goal, against Swansea, and never really convinced as a striker. It wasn’t until he moved to the left side of the park that he showed how good he could be but it was too late by then and he left a month after Jan Molby in October 2004 due to a clause in his contract allowing him to and subsequently joined Scottish Premier side, Dunfermline Athletic. |
