The veteran striker Jay Emmanuel-Thomas signed for Phil Browns Harriers in February 2024 in an effort to solve our goal scoring problems.

Much travelled, he started his career with Arsenal but only made one appearance in a European game. While with them he went out on loan to Blackpool, Doncaster Rovers and Cardiff City before signing for a six figure sum for Ipswich Town.

Two years later he signed for Bristol City in a player swap deal and then later on for QPR where he also went out on loan a few times.

He then left for his first stint in India when he joined PTT Rayong but didn’t stay long before returning home to Scotland to sign for Livingston and then Aberdeen.

Upon leaving Aberdeen he returned once more to India to play for Jamshedpur FC but left them in June 2023 when he was then without a club until he signed up to the Harriers.

During the following close season he crossed the border and joined Greenock Morton but his time there was cut short after he was arrested for drug running. It looks like he’ll be playing his football behind bars now.
