The former Doncaster Rovers and Walsall defender, James O’Connor, signed for the Harriers following a short trial period for us following his release from the Bescot Stadium. At 32 he has signed a three year contract with us and could hopefully be the solid defender we have been waiting all season for. During his career, that stared with Aston Villa, he has appeared for AFC Bournemouth, Port Vale and Derby County too and gained plenty of the experience that we have been looking for. Two years after signing he hung up his boots in July 2020 to become the U23 Chief Coach for us and then later on he became Russ Penns righthand man until January 2025. Upon the arrival of a new manager, Phil Brown, in January 2024 Jimmy left the club. |
