James Keene arrived at Aggborough with a reputation of scoring plenty of goals in the Portsmouth reserves.

He initially came on work experience for a month because he didn’t have a contract at Fratton Park. A week after he came to Aggborough he signed one so the agreement was made into a one month loan.

He has since played for Bournemouth and Boston Utd but then left the country to play for GAIS, a team from Gothenburg in Sweden. After a year with them and scoring ten times he was then transferred to IF Elfsborg.

He returned to Portsmouth on loan for a month in 2013 but then returned back to Sweden. He then went to play in Israel for Bnei Yehuda and then in India for NorthEast Utd.

James then went to play in South Africa after he signed for Bidvest for two years.
