Ian Joy was signed just before the start of the 2001-02 season on a free transfer from Scottish club Montrose. Ian, who was born in San Diego, USA, started out at 1st Division Tranmere Rovers before moving to Stirling Albion in Scotland. Ian left the club at Christmas 2002 and returned to the USA in an effort to renew his bid to play for the USA national side but then came back to the UK and joined Chester City for a short while. He then went on to play in Germany with excursions back to the USA in-between. He now works in the media for Fox Sports and was the studio host for the 2018 World Cup in Russia. |
