Graham Allner

Graham Allner was the manager of the Harriers in our glory years of the nineties, taking us to FA Cup and FA Trophy glory and the championship in 1994.

In his playing career Graham played for Birmingham City, Walsall, Worcester City, Stafford Rangers and Alvechurch before leaving to manage AP Leamington.

In 1983 he arrived at Aggborough to rescue the club from despair and to start the club on their rise to becoming one of the elite clubs of non-league football. His reign at Kidderminster became one of the longest in football at 16 years, second only to Dario Gradi at Crewe Alexandra.

Although he had his critics it is only because of Graham Allner that Jan Molby had something to build on, and in any future history of Kidderminster Harriers Allners name will become synonymous with success.

After leaving the Harriers Graham had a short unsuccessful spell managing Worcester City. He then joined Cheltenham Town, working as assistant manager to Steve Cotterill but after achieving promotion to the Second Division in 2002 Cotterill left to manage Stoke City and Graham was appointed manager at Whaddon Rd.

After failing to make any impression on their effort to avoid relegation back to the 3rd he was sacked on January 13th 2003.

Now retired he works as a scout for Midland clubs.
