Dion Scott was a strong, no nonsense defender and he scored in only his second game for us. The goal came at Carlisle in February 2003. After signing for us from Mansfield Town most fans thought that he would be offered a new contract for the 2003-04 season but he was surprisingly released by Ian Britton on 14th May and joined Nuneaton Borough a few days later.
