Dean Keates started his career as a trainee with his home town club, Walsall, and eventually made the first team making over 200 appearances for the Saddlers. When Jan Molby departed the Harriers for Hull City in 2002 Dean was one of his first signings. After his first season on Humberside the diminutive midfielder found himself out of favour and rejoined his old manager on his return to Aggborough in February 2004. Following our relegation from League 2 Keates departed for Lincoln City and then returned back to Walsall but couldn’t save them from relegation. He then moved on to Peterborough Utd and Wrexham before finally becoming their manager in October 2016. In March 2018 Dean was appointed as the manager of his former club Walsall. | |||
