Daryl Burgess joined the Harriers at the start of July 2005. Most of his career was spent at West Bromwich Albion where he earned a fearful reputation as being a good solid defender but he eventually left there in June 2001 to join up with Northampton Town and then to Rochdale. He became a crowd favourite there too but was released at the end of the 2004-05 season. Once here he put in some solid performances for us if a little lacking in pace and also getting sent off twice. He eventually became club captain after Wayne Hatswell joined Rushden & Diamonds but was finally released at the end of the season and joined Nuneaton Borough just before the start of the following season. |
