The Harriers made Cliff Moyo their first signing of the 2019-20 season at the beginning of June when he arrived here from Guiseley AFC. In his one season with them he picked up the player of the season award but wanted to move back to somewhere nearer his adopted hometown of Stoke on Trent. He moved there with his parents after leaving Zimbabwe in 2002. He started his career locally in Stoke before joining Barrow AFC in September 2011 but due to studying at university in Stoke he decided to move back home to take a break for a while but still turning out when he could for sides in the North Staffordshire area. When his studies finished in 2015 he joined up with Alfreton Town for a season before joining FC Halifax Town a year later. The defender signed a one year contract with us that was eventually increased to three. Sadly they were affected badly by injury and Covid and Cliff decided to retire from the game in July 2022. | |||
