Birthplace : NorthamptonBorn : 14-05-1972Position : Goalkeeper

The veteran keeper Chris Mackenzie signed for the Harriers after an injury to first choice keeper Scott Bevan had kept him sidelined for a while. The reserve keeper Dean Coleman also received a slight injury and so Chris was drafted in from Shrewsbury Town to help out.

He started his career at his local side Corby Town in 1993 and has had a number of clubs since then. All mainly local to the Midlands except for a period of time at Leyton Orient.

In the twilight of his career he was used primarily as a goalkeeping coach at Shrewsbury.

He came to Aggborough for an initial month long loan that was eventually extended to a permanent signing although it didn’t start too well as he earned himself the nickname’s of Calamity Chris and It’s Behind You Chris following some disastrous basic errors.

These were thankfully rare and he turned in some brilliant performances earning quite a few Man of the Match awards for such a short time at Aggborough.
