Cayne Hanley was a product of the Burnley production line that found his way to Aggborough through the Mark Yates connection. Cayne was released from Turf Moor after failing to make the grade following a back injury but was highly rated enough to be able to survive at a lower level. He was a prolific scorer for their youth side and should have produced similar here but that wasn’t the case because he lasted less than one game with us. He played for just twenty minutes at Morecambe and then went back home claiming that he was too good for us. He has now taken over from Mickael Antoine-Curier as the shortest ever appearance for us. He has since played for Stalybridge Celtic and FC Utd of Manchester for short periods before joining Northwich Victoria in the New Year of 2008. Obviously far too good for us then! |
