Ashley Chambers was the first signing of the Harriers new manager Neil MacFarlane in June 2018. He has joined us from local side Nuneaton Borough on a two year contract. He started his footballing career at his hometown club Leicester City in 2005 and made nine appearances for them while at the same time going out on loan to various other clubs. It was after going to York City on loan that he joined them following his release from Leicester in 2011. He stayed three seasons with them before joining Cambridge Utd and then, soon after, Dagenham & Redbridge in 2014. He then went North to Grimsby Town before joining Nuneaton last season where he scored twenty five times in forty six appearances including a last minute goal to beat us 1-0 at the Liberty Stadium back in August last season. After two seasons, and twenty six goals, Ashley left the club. |
