Ian Britton originally signed Andy Bishop on loan from Walsall for an initial one month. He made his debut for us in the 2-2 draw at Torquay in November 2002 when he came on in the second half to assist in our first goal and then score the second himself.

He went on to finish the season with us and after becoming a firm favourite with the Aggborough faithful returned to Walsall and a bright future.

The following season, 2003-04, he came back to the Harriers to start the season with a two month long loan after being told that he didn’t figure in Walsall’s first team plans just yet. This time round he failed to recapture the form of his first time with usand was returned to the Bescot in October 2003.

He then went out on loan again to, first, Rochdale and then to Yeovil Town in February 2004 before finally joining recently relegated York City prior to the start of the 2004-05 season.

In June 2006 he signed for Bury and had, probably, his career best period until he left in July 3013.

He has since played for Wrexham, Halifax Town and Southport where he became their manager for a while.
