23-09-19 - News - We get bloody Stourbridge in the FA Cup again

Groundhog Day struck again earlier this afternoon when yet again Kidderminster Harriers were given the possibility of playing Stourbridge FC in a cup game. It’s become something of a joke amongst Harriers fans that we always seem to draw our neighbours at one stage or another in these games but now it’s becoming a tradition.

A tradition that none of us want.

In the last four seasons we’ve played them in the FA Cup twice and lost twice and in the FA Trophy once. We lost that one too. In October four years ago we went out in the 4th qualifying round 3-0 then only two months later we met the same fate in the Trophy losing 2-1.

Thankfully the FA gave us a three year breather until we met once more in the FA Cup 3rd qualifying round and lost yet again by a 3-2 scoreline. Now only a year later we have to go back there again.

First we have to beat Stafford Rangers tomorrow evening.  Can’t we just give them a bye? Let them have it, please.
