20-11-20 - Preview - Farsley Celtic FC Vs Kidderminster Harriers

The man’s a goal machine

On the back of a groundbreaking win at Brackley Town on Tuesday evening we’ll now travel up to the North of Leeds to take on Farsley Celtic. While we we got our first ever points at Brackley it doesn’t mean that winning at Farsley will be a formality and we have to make sure that complacency doesn’t set in.

An early goal, that no one saw due to a very poor stream, from Amari Morgan-Smith set us on our way with Sam Austin adding the second less than thirty minutes later. That was Sammies third goal of the season and is one more than the total goals he’s scored for us since joining in 2016. That feat reflects his new found attacking midfield role rather than the wing back that was forced on him by previous managers.

It was hard to tell but I think we were again forced into a second half rearguard set up as Brackley went looking for a way back into the game. We’ve had this kind of second half at Chorley and at home to Leamington so far this season and, although it’s good to see how we’ve toughened up in that respect, it’s something that we try to avoid because it does fans hearts no good at all.

As on Tuesday we’ll be without Jim Kellermann as he misses the second game of his three match ban for a red card against Leamington. We could be waiting on news of Alex Penny after he took a knock during the second half at Brackley but we do have a ready made replacement in Cliff Moyo.

For Farsley midfielder Joel Byrom continues his recovery from injury while they’ve bought in two on loan from Hyde Utd to strengthen the team a little. Well known veteran defender Kingsley James and striker Paddy Lane arrived prior to their defeat at Alfreton last Saturday with just Lane making an appearance.

Farsley will be streaming the game using the same platform as Chorley a few weeks ago but at £5 it’ll be half the price they charged. Get it here
