15-01-18 - News- Maidenhead away in the Trophy if we get past the County

We could be paying our first ever visit to Maidenhead Utd on February 3rd if we manage to knock Stockport County out of the FA Trophy tomorrow evening.

On Saturday we came back from the dead to draw level with the Hatters in a thrilling end to end game between two evenly matched sides. Goals from Fraser Horsfall and Emanuel Sonupè rescued  us from an early exit in the competition but tomorrow we need to make sure.

Maidenhead (The Magpies) roared into the next round with a comprehensive 4-1 win away at FC Halifax Town. Two goals apiece from Moses Emmanuel and Harry Pritchard won Alan Devonshires team the game and in the National Premier they sit around mid table and enjoying their first season at that level.

They’ll be hard to beat, that’s no doubt, but so will Stockport and it’s them we need to contend with first.
