13-11-17 - Harriers travel to Boston in the Trophy

The Harriers didn’t get the ‘plum tie’ they were hoping for today when the draw for the 3rd qualifying round of the FA Trophy was made at lunchtime. We’ll be off to Boston Utd on the 25th November and, on paper, it looks to be a ‘tricky tie’.

We have already played Boston this season at home at the start of September and it was one of the many games that we threw three points away. We never seem to play all that well at their place either but luckily for us they’re not doing too well this season at at the time of writing sit second from bottom of the table.

They have just appointed a new manager, Craig Elliott, after the former Harrier Adam Murray left the position a few weeks ago. Elliott is something of an unknown quantity having joined Boston from Shaw Lane FC last night.

His appointment could see a renewed Boston so if we do come back from there with a result it will have been hard earned.
