10-07-24. The new season starts with a trip to Darlington

The Harriers return to the National North sees us kicking off the season at old friends Darlington FC on August 10th and it’s always good to get one of the longer away trips out of the way early doors. We’ll also be ending the season (hopefully in a good way) away from home too with another old friend in Southport. At least that cold wind might have died down by April 26th.

In between that we face the first of the new to us, Radcliffe FC, in our first home game of the season on the 17th of August. August Bank Holiday sees the Reds off to Warrington Town for our first visit there although they were in this division last season followed on the Monday with a home game against Oxford City.

Roll on Christmas I hear you say and a double header against Hereford FC. No, not quite. We go to Edgar Street on Boxing Day but on New Years Day we’ll be at home to Rushall Olympic for our first ever proper game against them although we have played them in friendlies before now.

So on to Easter and we have a reverse of those two games with a visit to Rushall on Good Friday and then at home to the Bulls on Easter Monday.

The Tuesday evening games have been kind to us early on with home games against Brackley Town, Chester FC and Marine AFC but then we travel to Curzon Ashton for our first midweek awayer on Bonfire Night. That could be spectacular travelling to the game through Manchester.

All the other evening games are easily reachable with the exception of Kings Lynn Town on November 26th. Oh, and the one we all can’t wait for? Alfreton Town away is on a Saturday in February.

As always I’ll do a downloadable calendar for Android and, hopefully, for an iPhone too but that might be a little more difficult. That might be tomorrow if you’re lucky.
