End with Chorley. Start with Chorley!

By some amazing trick of fate the Harriers will be starting the coming season at home against the team that knocked us out of the play-offs. Chorley FC will be returning to Aggborough on Saturday August 5th and if they think that they are going to spoil our day again they will be going home unhappy.

It only seems a few weeks back on that terrible May day when we had just come back from Chorley with a 1-0 win and an Arthur Gnahoua goal in our back pockets. It all seemed like a formality and we would sweep our way into the final with ease but Chorley had other ideas.

They used the kind of strong arm tactics that we couldn’t cope with and ran out 2-0 winners on the day to send us crashing out. It’s a cliche but now is the time for revenge.

Our first away game will be at Nuneaton on the Tuesday evening, 12th. That early game against then seems to be coming a bit of a tradition in recent years and we always seem to do well there so that’s all good.

Our August bank holiday game will be at Brackley Town with the return on Easter Monday while our Christmas period games are, as expected, away to Telford on Boxing day with them arriving at Aggborough on New Years Day.

Finally, by another amazing trick of fate, we’ll be finishing the season at home to Bradford Park Avenue once again.

Something tells me that this fixture list isn’t quite as random as we thought.
