Scored a worldie against Chester FC

After that terrific team performance against Chester FC on Monday the Harriers will now be hopeful of a repeat of that mesmerising game at Guiseley’s Nethermoor Park ground tomorrow.

On Monday first goals of the season for Omari Sterling-James and Mark Carrington did the damage while Sam Austin added to his seasonal tally with the third goal. Of the three Carringtons was the pick of the bunch and is already a contender for goal of the season. That win came on top of a credible draw at Southport a few days earlier and sees the Reds sitting comfortably in third place.

In the same order Guiseley were losing their Monday game at Gateshead but on Saturday they picked up a useful 2-1 win at home to one of the title favourites, Gloucester City, and now find themselves handily placed in the table at thirteen.

We should have had no obvious injuries following the two games although it did seem that Keith Lowe was rested so we may see his return tomorrow. We’ll definitely be without Cliff Moyo (against his former club) and Amari Morgan-Smith but it will now see AMS eligible for the home game against Gateshead next Saturday following the conclusion of his five match ban.

Guiseleys’ injury rollcall is also quite small with only Andy Kellett expected to miss out.

On a sidenote the former Harriers legend Marcus Bignot, who is the joint manager at Guiseley, has just been given the post of Assistant Coach for the England U19 team alongside another former legend, Ian Foster. We wish Biggy well but not tomorrow.
