At long last the club have finally given the fans the news they’ve been waiting ages for. The retained and released list.

They are also still waiting for news of what is to happen with season tickets from the write off of last season but it has been promised that this will all be sorted shortly. Maybe we’ll have another vote first though.

Back to that all important list and it appears that the majority of last seasons squad is going to be retained. On their way are Jim Kellermann, Koby Arthur, Alex Prosser and Luke Maxwell. The Harriers Online sponsored Maxwell is leaving football to follow a different career and after one season sponsoring him we wish him well.

Kellermann has to be the biggest surprise after joining up with us at the start of last season and being lauded as an important cog in the machine to get us promoted. Instead he got injured before the season had begun and didn’t appear until the end of October and then got himself sent off at home to Leamington the following week. By the time we got to see him again the season had been bought to a crashing, hiccupping halt due to the pandemic. Just recently he’s been seen having a trial with Redditch Utd. You would have thought he was more ambitious than that.

Koby Arthur was another that signed in a voluntary of trumpets then was rarely seen again while Alex Prosser had been with us for a while but, although well liked by the fans, never seemed to improve his game and so it looks like he’s been given the chance to resurrect his career elsewhere.

The ones that are staying with us after, either, signing new contracts or are already on contract are:

Keith Lowe
Cliff Moyo
Tom Palmer
Keziah Martin
Jaiden White
Alex Penny
Amari Morgan-Smith
Omari Sterling
Sam Austin
Ashley Hemmings
Lewis Montrose
Ethan Freemantle
Luke Simpson
Caleb Richards

We obviously need to add more new faces to the team so hopefully Russ Penn and Jimmy O’Connor are working hard towards that end. One who won’t be coming back to us is Jason Cowley who ended last season on loan with us from Sporting Bromsgrove. He’s now decided to sign a new contract with them and like Kellermann obviously lacks ambition.
