Ball to hand (by your side and pointing away from the ball) from 2 foot away is not a red card.

We completely lack quality, flair and initiative with little fire power up front.
I would be amazed if this squad gets anywhere near promotion this season.
We lost most the quality at the end of last season Morrison, Brown, McNally, Richards, Kohyar, Worrall, Hemmings etc and these players have been replaced with good but sadly average players and I too would be amazed if this squad gets anywhere near promotion this season.
We basically have two squads of players of equal ability and therefore it makes little difference in terms of selection - what is on the bench is no better or worse than the starting 11.
However, at long last one of our strikers actually scored yesterday - will the return of Mooney be the key to getting our forward line firing - maybe but for heaven sake that midfield looks lacking in most areas and the defence inspires little in the way of confidence or robustness.
For a team with the second best defence in the league that last comment doesn't seem to have any substance. We all agree, including management, and is blatantly obvious that our problem is scoring. However that has had minimal effect, surprisingly enough, on our present league position. Considering we've played 6/12 in the top half and only 2/12 in bottom half our league position is pretty healthy at present considering our lack of goals.

It’s 100% a red card. He swiped the ball.

We seem to be cultivating a reputation of being a Billy big balls club who moans about referees and have a manager who is deluded about what he’s seeing on the pitch.
I agree with Pershore’s comments.
From this juncture making the play-offs will be a good season.
Murray needs time.

Agree totally. With the upheaval since last season and the undeniable downgrade in quality of the squad a play off place would be an achievement. And moaning about officiating is never a good look even if it’s justified.

Agree he needs a bit of time but the post match interviews are becoming a little bizarre. Blames the ref last week, the goal we conceded was weak and shambolic, yet continues with his fave Innocent who was weak for it and leaves Tunni on the bench.
The system doesnt work, employing KW out on the right is mental.
As mentioned either on this thread or elsewhere, its crying for a 3-5-2. 3 centre halves being employed is what we have done for some time and yielded very very good results - we need a settled 11 in order for players to gel etc. Kurt can play off a big lad. We arent playing to his strengths;
We seem to lack leadership on the pitch. The armband is being passed around like a new born baby at its first family event and the likes of Tunni and Davis, both experienced, quality and consistent campaigners are left to sit on the bench.
moving forward IMO we need togo with;
Dibble/Bishop for next week
Obi, Tunni, Bird
Foulkes Mooney (give him 60 Saturday) Spokes Davis (c) Devine/Innocent if RD is injured
TSS (see mooney) and Kurt

Not that it made much difference but having seen the highlights Murray was right in saying the third goal was clearly offside. Hard to judge on the Willoughby disallowed goal. One defender definitely between him and the goal but the question was whether Willoughby was beyond the position of the keeper.

Yes. The third does look offside.

What was that first offside given for? - can't make sense of it - first I though AMS was offside, then I realised it was the keeper!

Sho Silva did well, might be worth a start as AMS's heading is not that strong for a big man.

It’s never a good look moaning about the officials but how on earth is that first goal offside?

It wasn't. The same linesman that didn't give offside for their third when it was so obvious. I'm happy moaning about that.
