Desperate, desperate kick and hope football, is this what Kidderminster Harriers have now become ? Notwithstanding the result - (a welcome three points), what is being served up in front of the loyal fans is nothing short of Sunday League, I for one am finding it a very painful experience attending games ATM. Today was absolutely dreadful to watch, Murray should apologise for such a performance - but of course he won't. Not sure where the quality of last season has gone. Then again there will be the acolytes that say it's another win and a clean sheet - Errrrrmmmmmm.
I wouldn’t call it kick and hope. The two centre forwards caused their defence issues and we had Ryley and Mooney picking up pieces and trying to make things happen. There were some pretty good moves we put together.
Yes, it was pretty direct at times. And not always pretty. I think we all want to play free flowing attacking football on the ground but we aren’t in that wheelhouse at the moment.
There were a number of positive individual performances and we dug in, worked hard for each other and won. That’s seven points from nine following on from a poor run. Is it ok to be a little bit optimistic? Yes, recruitment in the summer was suspect, as was team selection for ten or so games. But we’ve made some changes and are picking up points. Forgive those of us who want to be happy about this.
I fear a number of supporters have decided that they are against Murray and that’s that. I also find his interviews difficult. But Expecting us to be brilliant each game and constantly sniping is a little tiresome. Some stuff on X is ott imo. Yeah, you pay your money and have a right to an opinion but it feels as if there’s a group that want him to fail. Not healthy.
Maybe I'm hard to please, I'm not against Murray, just his brand of football. I go to watch and be entertained and enjoy the game - I have to say for the most part this season, I have found/seen little of either. Are we becoming another Alfreton? As I say I found the football pretty desperate.

Agree with much of what has been said.
Neither side played well with the wind but we were slightly better than Spennymoor when playing against it so probably just about deserved to win. Best I can say about the ref is that he managed to upset both teams.
I shall be interested to see the goal again on the highlights as, at the time, it appeared to be that rare animal of a well constructed open play move - but I may have been wearing my rose tinted glasses.
Agree that Reynolds, Mooney and Foulkes had good games. Slightly ironic therefore that the ball spent so much time in the air. Sitting in the East stand, I was pleasantly surprised by Evans' crosses in the first half and, although we still start madly defending as soon as we take the lead, at least today we rarely looked like conceding from their barrage of long throws, crosses etc. I noticed that Watkiss was working with the defence in the warm up so some credit may be due to him.

Yes, fair enough. I do get it. It’s just where we are at the moment. I’m trying to be glass half full if I can! We won!

I totally agree. So today I thought the first half was better. We should of scored 3 . Second half not as good but we deserved the win. I thought there were a few good performances. Kandola foulkes Evans mooney to name a few. It's not the same as last season no. Totally different team. However we have more points than this time last year. We are 7th!!! Not bloody bottom. I'm also sick of all the swipes at Murray. Get over the fact he is our new manager. Some people just crave failure im sure of it. I've said it before he may not be the answer time will tell but please just be grateful of where we are now and give the bloke a break. I don't care who the manager is. What beliefs he has. I just want to support MY team!@

I also thought it was awful. Two crap teams and we edged it. No lack of effort just a lack of quality and low grade tactics.
I think the players are there to play better football: Ryley, Joe, Dan Mooney, Kandola should be a decent spine.

Only one team tried to play football today & they lost - funny old game.
Thought Joe had motm won by half time, outstanding. Hall & Mooney good, Reynolds improved after he scored, though not a match for midfielders.
Hope we can string a good run together & perhaps the confidence will allow us to play a more attractive game, though hopefully not at the expense of Murray harping on about any such run being answers to his prayers.

I don’t get why, being a full time team, we are the ones that always look knackered at the end of games, even against the part timers???

What a total abysmal game of football, yes 3 points is great, however, 85mins of both teams diving, and hoof, after hoof, after hoof, long throw, after long throw, after long throw, topped off with Dibble play acting. What does Kiddy style of play even mean anymore, it seems gone are the days of actually playing on the ground, this is going to be a very long season under the AM helm, I only hope it is limited to one season!
Exactly! What happened to the swagger and confidence of the home performance against Hereford last season?

It was a win at the end of the day but overall one of the worst harriers performances I’ve seen for a while footballing wise, following on from Radcliffe a few weeks back I can’t remember two games in a row that have been that crap for a long time.
AM goes on about this freedom and creativity for the players yet they panic and hoof it up with their first touch every time. Mooney, JF and ryley stand out players and actually tried to create stuff on the floor despite AM’s style of play
